Home visits

Home visits
If you are unable to travel to one of the clinic locations or the group exercise locations, then home visits may be more suitable. Home visits will need to be paid in full unless your sessions are funded by the NDIS or Workers compensation services. If you are paying privately, you may be able to get Medicare and/or health fund rebates. The fees for home visits depend on how long the session is requested for and how much travel is involved.
Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 allied health services (including Exercise Physiology) per patient in a calendar year. These rebates are available to patients that have a chronic condition and complex care needs being managed by their GP under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. These include, but are not limited to

  • Diabetes

  • Cardiovascular disease

  • Obesity

  • Osteoporosis

  • Arthritis

  • Cancer

  • Muscular conditions of a chronic nature.

If you have been diagnosed with one or more of these conditions in may be beneficial for you to talk to your GP about getting a referral to see our Exercise Physiologist.

If your bank accounts are registered with Medicare, we may be able to make the rebate claim for you.

Health Fund Rebates

A number of health funds recognise Exercise Physiology services and provide a rebate. Different rebates apply depending on the type of cover. Please check with your health fund to see what rebates apply to you.

Exercise Physiologists may recommend some equipment to use at home as part of your exercise treatment. Some items can be purchased from us directly, at cost price, or options provided to get the equipment yourself.
